Thu, 26th May, 2005 : New classroom installed at Farnborough Comprehensive during holidaysFarnborough Comprehensive school needed more classroom space but couldn't afford the disruption of work going on during term-time.The double classroom unit measured 50'x40' and consisted of a modified existing unit to meet the school's own specifications. Restricted access across a playing field meant that all the components had to be transported by fork lifts to avoid damage to the ground. The project was further complicated by the need to take up a number of paths while work was progressing - returning them to their previous position once the project was complete. The classroom was planned, built and installed all in the summer holiday period and was ready for use at the start of the September term. The rapid completion of the project was only possible because of the highly experienced, problem solving staff at PBL. |
